The Seafood Industry Development Company (SIDC) is a State entity established in 2006 under the Ministry of Trade and Industry by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. As a Project Implementation Agency, its mandate is to partner with all stakeholders to ensure that the seafood industry of Trinidad and Tobago attains viability on a sustainable basis in the shortest possible time.


To act as the catalyst for the sustainable development and modernisation of the seafood sector in Trinidad and Tobago.


SIDC’s Mission is to support the sustainable growth of the seafood and aquaculture sectors in partnership with all stakeholders through effective use of business development initiatives focused on quality assurance, industry, trade and market development, aquaculture commercialization, capacity building and infrastructure management"
